My guess is that the edge is perfect. Villager can mean nothing more than the blade having a satin finish. My guess is that it's 100%.
Just a bit of a description before my review... lol I have to break out my macro photography skills to demonstrate this fully; but to put it in words... The finishing work on this is of such high quality and such painstaking attention was paid to every single detail that a blind person would be unable to feel the riveting or where the steel of the chiruwa handle line stops and the wood begins. Also the finish on this is so highly polished it reflects a flawless image. It is very sharp, but is not the sharpest HI blade I have.Somehow i figured that one would bring Bookie out of the closet! That might be the answer to your lighter Curved Spine. My Yek is about the same size but only 21 ounces. That one looks like a great all around size.
