Took the RC-5 out for a little break in session yesterday.
I know that when I was considering moving to Texas, I had a totally skewed view of what I was getting myself into. Most people think of wide open fields and tumbleweeds but the reality of the gulf coast is a bit different.
This area is THICK, very thick.
Alot of areas are impenetrable without a decent machete, long sleeves, heavy pants and boots.
Here's the 5 in it's native environ.
Not exactly a machete, but it did get me through some thicker areas with a bit of work.
I made my way to a drainage area owned by Compaq computers. Their corporate headquarters is about a mile from my house and this area is about a mile from that, not really sure why they own it but as long as it's open area I'll take advantage.
I walked out into the mud field to check out what tracks I could find and to look for some wildlife.
Hogs, deer, raccoon and snake tracks were the order of the day.
Had a nice hike, fresh air, humidity and wildlife.....perfect!
