Welder problem?

My Lincoln 180 has quit working right. It is getting some current, enough to orange and barely melt the wire, but not enough to arc properly. Cleaned ground clamp connections, no difference. Any ideas?

Check all the wiring to the welder, and then open her up and do the same inside. Check the ground for broken wire under the insulation, and at each end, make sure you have a good connection.

Clean out the nozzle, check the wire tip make sure it's not loose. Double check to make sure it's feeding properly, super slow feeding wire will exhibit some funny behaviors.

Good suggestions above. I had a wire feed that changed welding temp everytime I pulled the trigger. That turned out to be the PC board.

Glad you got it figured out. Just wanted to put out there that I had to replace the welder side of the grounding cable connection. Not sure how I noticed, but it was totally shot and welds much better now.
