• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Welding bandsaw bimetal blades

Either you need some good welding skills or you need a special welding machine. My bandsaw has a blade welder attached to the machine. Clamp the cut ends and start pushing buttons!

You can braze your bandsaw blades with your oxy/acet tourch. what I have done is grind the ends of the saw blade at an angle so when the blade is butted together you have a lap joint. make a simple jig to keep the blade square flux and braze, grind off excess brazing then I temper the brazed area with the tourch and it works fine. This works great for inside cutting too and after you're finished you heat the joint and debraze and, It doesn't hurt the cutting ability of the band saw blade like you think it would either.

Jewelers high temp silver solder or industrial silver solder either one will work great.
