Can I weld on a a tang to a hardened sticktang blade in CPM or any other PM steel?
I've welded on tangs pre HT before on rwl-34 and damasteel blades, but it would be easier to HT blades without tangs when using foil.
I found this information from crucible:

They mention that micro cracs may occur if not preheated and welded carefully.
Since the tang will be epoxied inside the handle I don't think that the weld itself most be as good as in other cases.
I was thinking of this procedure:
First HT the blades, then cryo and temper them, then weld on the tang and finally temper once again.
