i recieved my no weld grinder plans today. is there a reason why some one wouldnt just weld some of this? i do have access to a welder, i bought these plans because of the positive things people on here have said. so should a guy just weld up some of it?

thanks

There's no reason you can't weld it up. The plans were made for people that don't have a welder, but many of your fellow forumites have welded theirs up.

Sure

(Actually the kmg grinder is pretty much a no weld grinder anyway :foot:)

Build it and run it first, when you have it tweaked the way you like then weld it up. I welded my tool rest up and after running it for a few days I thought of some improvements that would suit me better. I ended up cutting is back apart and re-welding it.

much easier to weld than to try and drill and tap all those holes. they won't all line up anyway......
