Hey guys,
I saw something cool at walmart, that I HAD to pickup. Let's say that you are stuck out in the wild and all that you have on you is a knife, bic, and the clothes on your back. It's winter and you can't afford to lose those clothes. But you really need some toilet paper! Well guess what? Water activated paper towels. Yeah, you heard right, there are water paper towels. These could come in handy in a number of ways! They are pretty cool, you guys should check them out!

How does that work? Aren't papertowels supposed to absorb water? So if you activate them with water, won't they be all used up? Or do activate them, then wring them out and use them damp?

Sorry, I just can't picture it in my head.

will definately head to wallyworld

thanks

you have vision aceofblades, i can see great possibilities. what section would you find them?

Those are pretty cool. I have used them before (not as toilet paper though) and they work great.

Also, not to hijack the thread, but what is Wallyworld I keep hearing that name.

go check at your local farm supply stores, they also sell them there, and you get a lot more for less, ex -WW 8 for $1 farm supply- 50 for $4.99

This is within the product description: "It is made of 100% Rayon and is bio-degradable."
Is Rayon bio-degaradable?

Yeah, it's made from cellulose (plant tissue).

Love the idea of those tissues - here's a pic I found, with caption:

The biodegradable product weighs 50gsm. Lint-free and nontoxic, it expands from 2x1cm to 22x24cm when soaked in water.

My buddy had a pack of these a few months ago. I cant believe I forgot about them, they'd be excellent to pack when space is an issue. Plus theyre super cool they make washing up fun! LOL

I bought some around december & liked them I gave $1.00 a pack. I went back to get more in january & they were getting rid of them due to poor sales, for $.10 cents a pack & I bought all they had. 25 packs, he stopped ringing them up at 20 packs & he let me have them all for $2.00.

these work REALLY WELL as blood absorber bandages, or as packing inside your mouth for dental or similar injuries.

Well I went to wally world today to get some dog food and went over to the camping section but no luck, no cool little towels. I did however find them at gander mountain and they lived up to being the most overpriced place ever. They had a pack of 20 or 25 for $10.

wal-mart is referred to either affectionately or not as wallyworld

China Mart. What used to be American Made and sold for "less" just ten years ago is all China all the time now. Some of it good finds like this thread is about and a whole lot of easily broken garbage or stuff that wears out quickly.
