Well, hello guys (Opinels)

I think the no. 6-8 sizes would be good for edc with their light weight and perceived (to me) sliceability. It just doesn't seem that there are many dealers around that carry them and I have a hard time spending as much in shipping as the actual knife. Order 5 maybe? I don't know, I'll try one eventually.

I was in an REI in Tempe, Arizona, on Saturday (11th), and to my surprise, the "knife wall" showed several Opinels, including two of the plastic handled ones.

If you need a thicker blade and the serrated blade is not a problem then the Opinel Outdoors is a great knife. It is still a light knife and sheaths can be found for it.

Edbeau, I really like the Paul Bocuse imprint! Very cool, very culinary!

Here's the N°12 I'm carrying lately. It's big but that's what I want in my pocket these days. And with carpenter's jeans, it either slips into the leg pocket or straight up and down in the deep hip pocket next to my phone. The beech handle on this one was more slippery than my others, so I gave it four coats of blue latex paint and it has a nice grip to it, now.
