I have to go back in for surgery again this Monday.:( My weak spinal bones have let a couple of the screws in my neck back out from the last surgery and without the support of the clamp the space the Dr. had made collapsed and is letting my spine press on the nerves going to my hands.
Methinks there are other things the collapse has triggered as well because my feet have started swelling again and I am having the same pains I had before the last surgery.
This time my Dr. is going back in through the front so he can repair that damage and then they will turn me over and go through the back of my neck and put in screws and rods too support my neck from the back side.
Dr. says it will be about a four hour surgery and that I will be twice as uncomfortable as I was the last time and that was horrible so I hope he gives me enough drugs to keep me half way comfortable anyway. :grumpy: We have talked about it briefly and will talk about it again Monday morning so I am hopeful.;)
I'm sure not looking forward to it but it has to be done, as I can't let it heal the way it is now or I would have even more trouble in the future. Sure is a long row to hoe though and I'm sure getting tired...:(
We have to be at the Tulsa Spine and Specialty Hospital at 11:00 a.m. and my surgery is scheduled tentatively for 2:00 p.m. No supper for me Monday.:( ;)

Sorry to hear this. I wish you didn't have to travel this long, uncomfortable road. :(

But know there are a LOT of folks out here pulling for you and sending up smoke on your behalf.:thumbup:

Wow:( - the only part of all that which sounds any good is the drugs!
Smoke going up from this side of the Red River.

Yvsa, good luck with your next surgery. Sorry about the pain. Will keep you in my prayers.

I'd set the woods here on fire if the smoke would help, but I think I'll pray instead!

Hang in there, you can't give up after all you've already been through.
ONE DAY they'll call you to say, IT WORKED !!!

Yvsa, we are praying for you. Hang in there, you will be fine, just tell them to keep the Morphine coming.

Yvsa,

I'll be up at sunrise this morning sending up smoke to the 4 points of the compass for my friend.

So sorry for the back and neck problems....Our prayers are with you and your family and mention the word "Loctite:" to your doctor. Hopefully the drugs will keep you comfy and remember if you need us we are here for you. Good luck my friend.
