Well, here's a thank you and goodbye to everyone here on BF

Congratulations! My granddaughter was born almost 6 years ago. Time goes fast. Have a nice break and pretty soon you'll be back here. :D

Congrats! And thanks for posting ... It 's great to be reminded that family is what it's all about ..

bh49, yeah, they grow up too fast :D I missed the days my son was a baby, yet looking forward to see him every day growing into his teens!

It's gonna go by way too fast so my advice is to take a lot of pics and videos of them. You won't regret it.,

Congrats. Kids are better than knives.

I've learned it's almost as much fun to study knives as to buy a bunch of them. So, IF you do have any spare time in the next few years, you can still keep up with your hobby and your buds on BF.

You don't have to buy lots of knives to be here, and you don't necessarily have to collect, but just appreciate knives. Stick around!

Congratulations! first the good news....Children will give you happiness nothing else can come close to. Now the second good news...Take a minute to relax, you may not have to sell anything from your "small collection". More than likely the situation just calls for not buying anymore for awhile and saving up. Life is going to change big time, but we still need a outlet, just keep it reasonable for your situation. Best of luck.

Stick around and post when ya can:) Kids don't mean ALLL aspects of your personal life stop. But children are 110%the worth the time, effort, and money. Good economic times or not so great, kids are always a blessing. My two year old lil girl is the best thing to ever happen to me...even if I'm off work with her because she's sick. I'm not getting a damn bit of important work done...but I'm enjoying my day of hooky with her, even it means wiping a snotty nose every 7.34 seconds:p:D

Congrats, and please continue to post:)

Congratulations.

And no need to leave BF. I haven't had an income in 1.5 years but I'm still here. (Doesn't cost anything to read.)

You ain't gotta leave. You're going to be a dad, not like you are getting put into a box and getting shot into orbit.

Congrats! As others have said, kids are the best. A bit of unsolicited advice - keep your favorite(s) knives if you can. I sold off a bunch of knives when my daughter was born but kept one folder and one fixed blade and am very glad I did. Now that our lives have settled in I'm starting to rebuild my collection once again because the knife bug never really left me. Anyway, welcome to fatherhood.

Do you know what the sex is? Probably not this early. I was "fortunate" to have 2 girls and now my life is pink with Dora the Explorer and Tinkerbell everywhere. The best part is that everyone takes pity on me and have given me a "pass" to still parlay in the knife world as a "manly" outlet. I can't wait to give my girls their pink Spyderco Natives....

Not quite yet, but I'm honestly hoping for a daughter. She wants a son, I just find it easier to deal with girls emotionally, little boys are confusing as all get out.

I know what your feeling bro. My wife is due in 5 weeks with our first. I'm not going to sell any guns or knives though. I'm sure you have everything you need and you can holds off on knives you want. I am going to get a knife made in 2012 to give to my son someday.

You might still be in a state of shock. Its not the end of the world. I am excited beyond words. My best advice to you is buy baby stuff when you can, cut out needless spending and always say yes dear unless the question is do I look fat?

Congrats, OP!

Make sure you don't sell 'em all! After all, your child should grow up seeing Big Daddy carry/use knives responsibly and develop a healthy perspective on 'em! :D

Congrats and good luck, my daughter's gonna be 22 in Jan., we've had some great times and some scary times, remember, nobody knows how to raise kids right from the start, it's a learnin' experience to say the least, on the advice side, love your kid and make sure they always know, no matter what, you'll always be there for them and that they can always count on your love, have fun bein' a new dad, believe me, they grow up way faster then you expect.

Quitting this place is the first step on your road to recovery from knife addiction. You will be missed, but kids are waaaay more important. Congratulations! :D
