the man, the myth, the legend.....John of JK Knives.

Since I happen to be a local fella, I was able to pick up my knife at John's place. Let me tell you something about this guy....just a good honest fella doing what he LOVES to do (make knives).

We sat and bs'd for close to an hour. It's like I've known him forever, hehe.

Anyways, just wanted to tell everyone that I was his first Illinois customer, his first person from the forum to meet him (if I remember right) AND I saw the "FAMOUS" picture takin' stump!! :D

OH!!! And I LOVE the knife he made me!

Hey Kirk, great meeting you too. It`s nice to be able to talk knives with someone, I`ve only got daughters, well two son in laws also, but they are both truck drivers so I don`t see them too much. We spent close to an hour talking about everything from knives to our families to our jobs , even my former one, and had a good visit. That`s why I`m still hoping for an Illinois get together, I think the guys on the forum would be great to meet! Later I spent another 45 minutes on the phone with Reuben, didn`t get a chance to get lonely yesterday, I even got 7 blades ground and heat treated! I even went to town, bought some Rolling Rock and steaks and cooked out last night. So except for the fact my wife had to leave for her mom`s again, I had a good one!

John

I almost forgot, don`t reveal the location of the "sacred stump"!
