Well, its a start

Way to go Ray: Once that forging stuff gets in our blood we are hooked and it is a good trip. Glad to see you back in the saddel again.

Ray, I am a newbie to the forum and I never knew just what happened to you, just gathered there was a fire. I dug around in the archives yesterday and saw your posting in which you broke the news. I also read the one by Bruce Evans in which he clearly spelled out that a lot more than just your knifemaking stuff was lost.
Horrific to say the least. Sorry if the quip I made about your first knife since the fire seemed out of place. I do however hope that YOU will rise up out of the ashes like the proverbial pheonix, you must have been devastated.

It is VERY heart warming to see how the fine men on this forum have rallied around you to help you, where friends are concerned it is quality that counts, not quantity but it seems you have both.
If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.
Good luck and best regards and I hope you will be back in full swing soon.
If the latest knife is anything to go by then you are certainly well on your way. :)

Mike
