It's pretty incredible how well that knife has aged. It looks incredible! I'm glad it's made it's way home.

Yeah, it's traveled across the country and processed a few deer since the last time I saw it, but it's none the worse for the wear. It's just over two years old now. I didn't realize how much I had missed it till I held it again, I'm glad it made it's way home too.

Congratulations MW! I am glad you have her back home safe and sound. She's got character and looks beautiful.

Thanks, me too! She is looking good, just needs a coat of mineral oil and some time in the woods :) Jimmy is headed south to the coast to work for a few years, I sent my Spartan with him and he returned this one to me.

Sweet bushfinger

Yep, the very first one :)

Excalibur is where she belongs. Maybe now my night terrors will cease.

Ah, the knife that started my Fiddleback following! Your initial review of this knife along with the great pictures, initiated my first purchase from Andy. That was of course, a Bushfinger as well. 9 Fiddlebacks later, I find myself still browsing the Friday threads in search of my next.

As always, thanks for the pictures and I am glad it made its way back to you. Hope we see more of it in the months to come.

Lol, you crack me up! Maybe now you can quit giving me hell about parting with it...and will me yours next time you try a fungi experiment you may not live through :D

The one that really started me too. I don't have nine yet, but I've got three now. This one, a Hunter that looks almost just like it, and a Hiking Buddy with dyed blue box elder and black bolsters...though my wife snagged that one in a hostile take over. Had a K.E. Bushie too, but sent it to one of my editors in the UK...you know how hard it is to find a decent bushcraft knife in England :D You'll definitely see more in the months to come, I've been fondling it since I got it back, and it's sitting here on the table as I write this waiting on my coffee before I hit the woods and get to work.

Andy definitely has a style all his own, and makes great knives. What really amazes me is that even though he has various handle shapes they all just melt into the hand.

Funny thing is I actually slept sound last night. Hey, just sayin.

LOL! Me too but I'm not going into my theory on why I slept so soundly...

Sig line worthy. Great knife...it's the reason I finally got one...

Awesome knife...and the reason I got more :)

Took it to work with me today and fondled it a lot...and whittled a little. The blood patina Jimmy has going on definitely has character and it came back sharper than it left. That's seasoned dogwood I was whittling on.

Thanks guys. Funny, I just got it back and already my brother is eyeballing it again. I had to make my excuses and leave...guess I'll keep it out of his sight till hunting season is over lol.

That knife looks really good! Thanks for the pictures. I love seeing a well loved knife.

Thanks, I think it's aging very nicely. I made Jimmy promise me he wasn't going to just put it in a box somewhere before I left it with him last year. And true to his word he used it as his hunting knife for the season, in teaching a few classes, and to process a few deer during biology research conducted by the wild life management agency in his area. When he told me he was headed to south Florida and the Everglades to work for a few years I saw a good opportunity to bring it home and made a swap with him for a knife better suited to that part of the world and the work he will be doing.
