Phillip, regarding rules/etiquette for Fiddleback Fridays... Is the individual who claims the knives required to be the one who purchases them from the forge, or is buddy sharking permissible/encouraged?
Not Phillip, but buddy sharking has been acceptable in the past. It was how I was able to get my F2. I was in the field and had terrible reception so Necrolicious gave it a shot for me and was successful.
There is a precedence in world commerce for proxy buying, but I would certainly be inclined to hear the view of anyone if it is causing problems, regardless of shop policy. Most folks know I shark for others half the time, and that is the only reason I wanted to include my voice here. I hope it has not been an issue as I love participating even when I can't bring a knife home.
Thanks Odaon, I love your photos and bringing us along on your mushroom hunts with the F2, I can't actually picture another member owning that one!

If an AI were to start sharking knives, and that AI used independent sentience which exceeded that of human capability, and that being also had microsecond advantages on us, would it be unfair? Have you considered your human-centric viewpoint might hurt the feelings of our future masters?

On the serious side and where my point was going, there are plenty of macro programs and software that can record and generate synthetic transactions significantly faster than us humans. Heck, our financial markets are pretty much traded on micro-second boundaries by vast seas of algorithms everyday.
There has already been one instance of that here, discussed in this thread I believe. Search robosharkingSkynet went live on 5-27-2016 on Bladeforums in hopes of landing some bog oak and 3/32" stock
