Well...It's Friday...

i would take in hopes brisket Jerry is off duty:

Karda w/ brisket rub burlap over black liners & yellow pinstripes, SFT
Convex on spalted 3/32” A2 - $290

Thx!!!

Sorry Simon! I was just trying to help you stick to your plan of not spending more. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Yeah Jerry, second time u did that to me on a brisket rub knife.:D..that EDK is very nice and would fit well with my 3/32 tsunami runt....no worries though. My iphone skills are too slow to compete with you...and yes, thanks for saving me from the momey drain today.

Its a BCK .. and besides, it goes better with this Runt though.

Phillip claimed the BRB EDK and I didn't have the heart to take it from him. I can still poke the bear a little though. :-)

I meant BCK... i did not go after the EDK cause i hoped for a BCK.... today was my chance...
Different colors make the difference Jerry, not all the same, thats easy :-)

I so wanted that Burl Bush Hermit! But I have a BH coming to try anyway :)

It just comes down to technique at that point. Jerry's technique is solid. There are a lot of speedy people on here, tough competition!

Any time you post any reply to a thread, practice as if you were sharking ;-)

Although, having "IT fingers" helps too

Sorry Bill! I tried a slightly revised technique today to see if it would be any faster. I got lucky to be the 5th response. I have not been higher than about 12th for a very long time. All the professional IT folks seem to have the inside track these days. Things have certainly changed since Andy quoted my original "Tips & Tricks for Sharks" back in early 2014. I feel like a dinosaur around here on Fridays. That's OK because I already have a nice group of favorite Fiddlebacks to use and a very small wish list. I enjoy watching the new folks go through the initial acquisition excitement and learning phase. I remember that time well.

Congratulations on sharking the Osage Bush Hermit. I just so happen to have Peter's (prom52) Osage BH in front of me as I type this. He sent it to me for evaluation along with a Drop Point Maverick. You are really going to like this model. It is a great design!

Best regards,

Phil

The BRB preferably so that I can just send you PP funds instead of the knife. muhahahaha

ps I crack myself up sometimes.

:D

the reason im asking is i have 2 "users" (one scandi and one convex)and others that are not. the BRB falls in the "not" category.

if you wanted to use them to get a better feel for the differences in the handle length or try a scandi grind out i could send a "user"out & it would not be a problem.

either way i will send what ever you want but im not sellin:D

it was good to see you and Peter on Fiddleback Friday. i will admit i was surprised by your selection. it's understandable though as it's a beautiful knife and scales.

Thinking about it.... today i can really say well it is Friday! I am sitting here with a view starting a weekemd getaway trip and have no worries over sharking a knife or not. Two things come to mind:

1.) Damn, Jerry is fast! I never get a brisket rub knife ;-)
2.) Way more important: Damn, life is good!!!!

Have a good week-end guys....

Lake Michigan? Looks like an awesome weekend ahead.

Yes sir, 40 minutes away from where i live, rented a place for a family weekend... sand beach and sun... some bottles of wine later and i have all i need in life...
Every single time i come out here i am amazed how beautiful this area truly is....

Hey Phillip-

So now I've been kind of wondering about this... What is the actual kind of wood burl scales (I.D.) used on today's Brisket Rub Burl Bush Hermit??

A week or two ago I highlighted a set of scales that were being laminated and thought it might be something special.
