Thanks Abe. A genuine Treasure. I'm still spinning from the whole thing. I never expected to get it...and even after dropping that kind of money, I don't regret it.

The two I bought from Allen at the Kansas City show arrived today. Pics to come, but the Fighter is just badass. My favorite is the Raven though. Wait till you see that!

I'm putting myself on a knife block until Trackrock. My budget is shot. But what a Friday!

did you guys like the auction format and would you like to see it going forward?

im not so sure it would be a weekly occurrence but every so often
 
I think it is a good sales format and could also work well on something like Instagram with larger market exposure.

I would vote yes, the caveat would be that it needs to be a truly spectacular knife. I would keep it on the Fiddelback Friday rather than Instagram etc.

i agree w/ the spectacular knife and I see it as being limited to Fiddleback Friday unless its a special circumstance. we shall see

I agree with Peter that it needs to be a spectacular or high demand knife. I think Fiddleback Friday is the best place to do it, but you could pre-announce it on Instagram to create a buzz. The advantage to doing it on the Friday thread is that you keep a lot of people around for a full hour and sell more knives it seems.

I'll start the bidding for the next 3/32" synthetic & black pins Old School Ladyfinger at $350.

I think it's a great format for "one offs"... also could be a way to figure out pricing for prototypes and what not

Thanks guys! I feel really privileged and honored to be the holder of that lady finger. And Phillip I really do like the format. I agree with some of the comments. Keep it reserved for just those rare or spectacular blades or the one offs. And don't do it all the time. I can't see participating in it that much right now but man it was fun!
