Well, it's here...

Right on Mike. Glad it all worked out!
Man. Those carbon fiber inlayed sebs are some of best looking ones out there IMO.

I knew from looking at the pictures of the cf inlay knives that other members have posted, that I really liked them. When I opened the box and
finally saw one in real life, I was almost speechless. I really like some of the wood inlays too. Some of them have a lot of character...

Man that is nice! Love the new style hat too:)

Thanks. I like the new design too, but I also like the old style. I told my wife that 99% + of the people that see the new hat, won't know who it is.
The people that truly matter will know though :D

Congrats. I'm really glad it all worked out for you.

Thanks... I truthfully didn't know if I would like the Sebenza or not. I knew they were well made, and very popular, but it's quite a change from what I have been using and collecting for roughly 18 years.

Granted, I did get to play with the KA knife a little, and liked it a lot, but the inlay knife was totally different. My concerns about not liking it only lasted about
2 seconds after I opened the box :D

As many of you know, for the last couple weeks I have been waiting for a little situation to be resolved. I was mistakenly shipped a KnifeArt
CF Sebenza, when I ordered a CF Inlay Sebenza from BladeHQ... Thomas from BHQ called me and said they now had the correct knives, and if
I still wanted one, he would get it shipped out... Heck yeah :D

When I was talking to him on the phone he told me that CRK had shipped a new design ball cap they just came out with, that hasn't been released
to the public yet, to be shipped with the knife as an apology. In all fairness, they have already apologized, but I certainly appreciate the hat...
The hat on the left is the new design. The hat on the right is one that I ordered with my knife.

So, anywho, today I received the correct knife... :D When I opened the box and saw the knife for the first time, I couldn't believe my eyes.
This thing is freakin beautiful. Don't get me wrong, I also really liked the KA CF knife, but this is totally different.
I could type for a couple hours about this knife, but I won't put you through that :D So, her she is...

I just ordered one as well, to compliment my BladeHQ / CRK Sebenza 25 with CF inlay. I realized I need a small Sebenza for more universal carry (legality).

Glad you're happy with it. I started with the KA CF small sebenza. It turned into a gateway. I now have my first CF small, the large CF inlay (larger version of what you have), the blue steam TI Lock and 2 Mnandis and I know it's only a start.

Welcome to the sickness. I'm sure your first won't be your last.

That will make a nice pair...

Thanks. I'm sure you are right because I already have two more that I am looking at :D

25 vs small 21? The 25. Only because it's simply more intuitive to grasp a larger handle. Once a grip is established on the small 21, it's not bad.

Thanks ocabj.

I'm just curious as to other peoples experience between the two. Not everyone has a 25 and small 21 both with inlay. May I ask, what size hands, either numerically or glove size is fine.

Thanks!!

33875,

I talked to you a while ago on the benchmade forum when you went to the benchmade main office. In your opinion, was it worth it? I have been debating on getting a micarta insingo for about a year but have just stuck with my benchmade.

It's no secret how much I like Benchmades. After using them for roughly 18 years, I have yet to have a complaint with any of the knives I have had,
and i think they are a great company...

Like many people, I thought about buying a CRK off and on for a few years, but just never did. Now that I have one, I wish I would have done it
a long time ago. You really have to hold one in your hand and exam the knife closely, to appreciate what goes into these knives.
I like it enough that I am going to be buying another here in the next few days, and probably another one in the near future as well...

One of the things that really caught my attention was the clip. When I first clipped it into my watch pocket, which is where I've carried my knives for years,
I thought, that's odd the Sebenza doesn't sit down as low as my Mini Grips. Well, after looking closer I discovered that was because I didn't
have it all the way down. As I pushed it into the pocket, I felt the resistance and stopped. What I found was, the edge of my pocket was up against the
second hump on the pocket clip... So I pushed a little harder and it finally seated further down. What a cool design. I really don't think
there will ever be a retention issue with these pocket clips.

I will always have Benchmades, and now I will always have at least a few CRK knives as well. They are small. There is plenty of room for both :D

Great news Mike. I had no doubt that this story would have a good ending. It has almost certainly changed CRK's shipping and labelling procedure. So you are the catalyst for a little knife history! LOL

I knew that you would like it. I own the same knife and we have very similar tastes.

I wish you well to use it mate.:)

Cheers

Steven

The clips are nice for this reason, but a word of caution with your new prize..At least I have found within my own experiences. Those clips like to reach out and grab things...Like seat belts.
I find myself instinctively checking to make sure it's still there when I get out of a car..or really, just throughout the day.

For sure, I am not the only one that does this. ;)

OP, now that you have handled both CF versions, tell us what you think; I am on the fence for the KA half CF but seeing the CF inlay has set me back to: "what should I do...." Does the half CF give you any kind of imbalance because the weight difference from show side to lock side? Does the inlay one fill your hand better? Does the half CF feel as solid and sound wise is it still the signature CRK clink? Or it gets muffled a bit by the CF?
I have had both and I have to say that I like the inlay one more. It all comes down to personal preference, obviously.

Thanks Steven. Indeed things did work out fine. It was certainly worth the wait. Heck, I waited this many years to finally get one, a couple more
weeks wasn't a big deal :D

Thanks Bill. I appreciate the heads up.
