No, Mike, you CAN'T straighten a warped blade after it cools off from heat treatment.

NOPE, not even if it's been fully tempered.

NOPE, not even though it's pretty thin and the bend is real gradual.

Now you know, you gotta take it back outside and start over with the heat.

Actually, it's from the old G.I Joe cartoon, and the old PSAs that they'd show at the end of each episode.

This is what I get for being pale and growing up in a desert, too much TV as a kid.
 
Never try to straighten at less than 400F. If the knife has been tempered higher use that temperature.
