Well... my foolish choices go on

With what little I earn on my bank savings account (.000001%?), the purchase of a fine Busse will net you a better return on dollars spent. And with much more enjoyment!...Order on!

That nasty green paper is only worth what you can buy with it and that gets less and less all the time.

Definitely.. With inflation, collecting Busse's you are ahead of the game..

Well, it has arrived! I couldn't resist not getting it dirty right away.

And all cleaned up with a soapy bath.

It's a solid knife for sure! The edge is thicker than I expected. It definitely inspires confidence, but it doesn't bite all that well when chopping, at least not as well as my Junglas, and nowhere near as well as my CRK Shadow I. I might eventually put a shallower angle on it.

I'm still trying to decide what to do about a sheath. I sort of want to try my hand at molding some Kydex, since I want a Kydex sheath for my Shadow I. But I have been eying a BuyBrown arctic white sheath I saw on a google search.

Keep in mind the TGLB is a great all around knife. It will chop and slice like no ones business for an 8" blade. It ain't gonna chop like a ASHBM, NMFBM, or a Junglas.
As far as the sheath is concerned I have just a couple ;) from Mr. Brown and I can definitely recommend him. Just drop him an email and he'll hook-u-up!

Yeah, I have no doubts about its capabilities. I was just saying that I think the lack of bite is partially due to the more obtuse edge in comparison to the Junglas and Shadow I.

Great knife. Give it a good flogging through some really hard seasoned wood with a mallet and you'll see why these knives are what they are.
