well, new sebbie

Then there's no way to smooth it out ?

Best way to do that is put some sharpie on the end of the lockbar and let it dry for a few minutes and then work the knife open and close a few hundred times, reapply and repeat, it will wear in over time.

I also noticed that when I had a sticky lock bar it was because I put it back together wrong. Or there was a screw on the handle that was a little loose.

Try to take it apart and put it back together. The best way to do that is put the handles together and then slide the blade with bushing and washers in. That way you can't get it wrong.

DO NOT polish the end of the lock bar, CRK does a special heat treat on the end, a very thin layer and if you rub that off there will be a very rapid wear on the titanium and soon your lockup will hit the other side of your knife.

And NICE knife to the OP btw!

Thanks for the heads up...I never about that!

If you want to smooth out the opening put a small drop of oil (I use tuffglide for this application) inside the detent hole.

If you want to smooth the lockup you can take a pencil and lightly draw on the lockface. This doesn't hurt anything and it puts a thin layer of graphite on the opposing surfaces.

I should have worded it better. As the blade is opened the side of the lock bar near the tip rubs against the rear side of the blade . That's what I'd like to smooth a bit.!!

I polished the slight bevel where the ball is with a VERY fine stone up to the ball but not touching it. Put a little fine oil/graphite in the action and now it's very smooth but a bit stiff . Ready to go !

Does anyone know if all custom graphic CRK's only dressed up on the non-locking side?

I know of at least one (not a Sebenza though) that has custom graphics on both sides.

I'm pretty sure they have done CGG on locking side on very few sebbies.
