Well..no RC-4 for me...

That is a pretty horrible story. I just shipped a Chopweiler to a fella accross the puddle and worried about it getting stolen. I labeled it a gardening tool, and that went bye unnoticed. Jeff and Mike are the best. They go way out of their way to help their boys. One more reason to make RC the go to company. :D

Once I shipped a package of samples to South Africa. Of course, they never reached their destination. The weird thing was 6 months later when the package showed up at our door, with everything still in it.

That sucks about your knives though. I've been ripped off like that before, and it is so frustrating to be furious and helpless.

We'll next time I've decided to use FedEx. I think that will solve about 90% of the problem. I was looking on the FedEx site and noticed that I can one package for about the same price as three... as long as the total weight is the same and they get sent together. So I was thinking if I have three knives I want to ship over to put them each in their own box instead of all in one. That way when they go through customs it will have a much better chance of making it through. If you're a customs guy and you get one box with 5-6 knives it's easy to take some out as long as there's something still in the box to make it through. But if there is only one knife in a box they would probably be "less" likely to steal it because they would have to forward a completely empty box to Fedex once it cleared.

What do you think?

Man, I feel for ya. I'd be ready to cut someone's thieving hands off if it was my stuff that disappeared. Next time, just label them as laboratory specimens, add a couple of skull and cross-bone stickers and you should be golden. :p

Hey bro! ALL OF YOUR KINVES HAVE SHOWED UP! My wife informed me that the RC-4 showed up today. I'm at a different shop helping them fix a bike today so I won't have access to my email today, but go ahead and shoot me one with your address and stuff in it. I won't get home in time to ship them out today, so I'll ship them out on my lunch break tomorrow.

I was just casually reading thru the posts, ad ran across this one.
While the situation certainly sucks, I am amazed at the responses being given. Guys who probably are complete strangers to one another offering to help out.
I find that amazing. I am also impressed.

I do not own any RAT products yet. If this is the kind of loyalty that is bewing inspired by these knives and their makers, somebody is doing something right.
A RAT is now near the top of my 'must have' list.
