The Machax is a straight wood processor for me so I wouldn't mind it a little thicker. But add that extra thickness on a blade that long and there will be a noticeable difference in its balance and usefulness when clearing brush and any smaller tasks really.

The camillus bk4 was .25 thick and it was…well…terrible… I don't know what happened, but the grind angles on it just didn't work, and the weight is just too top heavy. I never held a original machax but I'm told that was the best model ever made, and was about .210 thick. My warrior machax is about the same weight as the kabar but thicker (probably .23-.21"). It feels wonderful but I just can't get myself to really use it, I would DIE if something happened to it.

And IMO the bk9 is just not as good of a blade. The shape of the machax allows it to do more. The down ward kukri shape really makes it a better chopper. if you held the bk4 straight out in your hand it would face straight out. if you held the bk9 straight out it would face at an upward angle. The bk4 also has that thiner recurve right up by the handle which makes it wonderful for small tasks and feathering. All that being said I love the bk9 it can do everything the bk4 can do and vice versa. I just think the bk4 makes it easier.

But hey thats just one mans opinion. :D

I'm getting cremated and I'm going to have the carbon from my ashes added to some powdered steel, then made into a knife or two. I want my dead ashes to cut shit in the afterlife.

With your luck, you'd probably end up in a display case in a gas station that sells pot pipes.
Beardlove would buy you, take you to BeckerWest, bend you in half chopping on a 4x4, and then stick you in the campfire to"re-forge" you.

I guess if we're going into Bladite's bunker, there'll be enough to share. But it'll take some resources. I've got the weapons, but we'll need some serious tools, probably explosives and maybe a thermal lance, artillery support, and a Navy SEAL QRF for backup when things go south.

Who's fooling who here? Bladite's bunker is really his storm shelter/basement. I got a shotgun called a "master key" that'll take care of those hinges.
