Big Ern and Dustin G33kfu are the losers... meaning they get to try to make a knife like I do! I've got enough 1095 barstock for 3 blades, the rest of my steel is forging sized.... sorry
Me, Charlie and Rex are planning on starting a Bama Knife Group soon and we'll be doing something similar or a webinar thingy in the near future. For a small fee to cover our costs we'll have a simple "kit" of some simple tools, blade and handle materials so we'll all be on common ground. This isn't a commercial venture but to offset the costs of a bunch of materials so please stay tuned for this project. I'll start another thread soon to gather suggestions (besides the obligatory "don't do it you eediot" comments

) and get some technical info from y'all.
I'll start a thread tomorrow to get everything going started, so you two start thinking of what ya got and what ya ain't got, I know my "ain't got" list is pretty long. We'll probably make a version of my EDK knife if that's alright with y'all. It's probably one of my most popular knife designs, it's small and simple (heck, it's gotta be, I thunk it up, cept the name, that's Lorien's fault. I was calling it the Poket Knife.) If you're not familiar with it (no reason why you would be, I'm not famous or anything) here's a link to a review with some pictures of one:

Unless you'd just want to learn to tie turk's heads and wrap (believe me it's faster to install scales, took me hours to tie those stupid turk's heads

) We'll go with normal scale/pin handles but that's up to y'all when we get to discussing this build.
Well I'm off to bed... night shift ain't much fun and got to get my wife's coffee made, I mean I got to get the ole lady up to make me some breakfast and all that stuff...
