Boker m13 bad grind have pics and sent them to boker customer service who seemed to only ask for them to spite me or out of being a smart ass. Jann is not a great communicator. Anyway how do fix this damn thing? Idk how to post pics from a kindle. The grind basically looks like some one was drunk at work passed out for a second or two on one side of the blade and half assed the other. Not sharp not even and customer service was kind of shitty.. I'm not paying shipping to boker when they messed up by not inspecting. I was also told this knife was discontinued years ago but I bought it off their site a month or so ago? Then offered me something up to $80 provided i ship this m13 back when they have it originally posted for $129 I just wanted a cheapo fixed blade tossed my way for what I assume will be hours of work on the lansky to fix what they broke. I paid for a lifetime warranty but for what?

There are a number of skilled sharpeners on the forums that could help you out if you're not able to do it yourself. That being said, the grind looks off even in product pictures of the M13 and the recurve behind the handle is quite tricky to get right (from what I understand) so it's not the biggest surprise that it didn't go all that right (I quite like the design though)

Also do you have a new rug that ties the room together again? :D:thumbsup:

That knife has a goofy combo grind, a recurve and a fat heel. There's really no practical hope of ever having an even sharpened bevel. It can be done, but at the cost of cutting performance. If it bugs you I'd just return it for a refund or trade it.

If it helps I'm happy to make it sharp for you. I won't make any promise of a consistent bevel though.

what?
This is all I was able to get out of your post...

Do you want to fix it, or do you want them to?
If you want them do, but you do not want to pay for shipping, then ask to speak to a supervisor and see if they can work something out with you.

If you want to fix it, you will likely have to regrind both bevels, primary and secondary (the sharpened edge and the angled section above that).

I understand that you are on the newer side of the knife hobby, and especially important now, asking first is always suggested.

Unless you were dead set on that particular knife, you could have had many options for the $100 mark. Even U.S. made and custom/handmade options.

What do you want to do;
A) Fix it yourself?
B) Send it back?

I gotta admit I've looked at it myself, I think it's really cool looking, but the way it appears that even Böker can't do a decent edge on their own knife/design to that extent put me off. I am still contemplating the Chickenhawk a little though.

I stopped buying bokers long time ago. just not worth it.

They've got some decent models. I like the Zinker folders a lot.
I've got a pelican. I use it as a money clip. polished the detent track up and added a detent ramp and gave it a good edge. but the swedges are all over the place. makes me want a legit one with mini ikbs.

Not sure what to say to the OP. I'd keep working with Boker CS and try to get a full refund.

This is why I never buy knives with these types of grinds.

Really my grammar? Grow up. The whole thing went even worse Jann basically accused me of not being the original buyer and then told me someone sharpened the edge off the knife no way it came from their factory that way.I'm glad you had success with jann I did not she became accusatory rude and made assumptions. I asked her why she didn't look up the dates of purchase and shipping cuz she's got those record's. I decided maybe they don't know how rude Jann is being and thought they would be better. Pretty much I'm never buying another boker again and would like to park this one in janns ass. You can go ahead and google boker customer service and Jann and see that it's not a me issue its a Jann issue. She needs to realise Colorado isn't on a different planet and one DAT she might get some knuckles across her bitch mouth. Bought a lifetime warranty didn't get a day out of my knife and its a piece of shit. Also I believe its my punctuation you have a problem with not my grammar. Its not like this is spelled out in ebonics. Should I just find another forum that isn't full of fanboys and little girls obsessed with the way something is typed? I got ripped off by what's supposed to be a reputable company then they refused accused and denied any responsibility at all. I want my money back and I want to keep this piece of shit knife to show ppl that boker is useless disrespectful trash that makes subpar knives. I should a just bout 4 shitty Gerber's at least the know how to use their equipment and can at least be depended on to make the edge correctly even if they knife's gonna snap in a month. Gun company's never pull shit like this fuck knife's. I'll just cut everything with buckshot.

If I could figure out hownto post pics I would. Its not even like a transition from one part to the other the whole thing is just uneven off center and some spots it looks like there is no cutting edge. They just want me to send it back when all the experiences I've read ppl don't have to pay boker shipping for boker mistakes they don't have to send their old product back in and get a new one without any of this trouble Jann has caused me. I hope she falls on some ice and get some nice brain swelling to go with her shitty attitude.

You don't understand it looks like they let a halwit drink a bottle of jack and floor cleaner and then he must have used my blade to defend himself from the grinder or paper wheel or whatever. Its seriously fucked. I can and will fix it but I should be compensated for having to make a new knife out of an new one basically.

Lol primary and secondary bevels haha. There's just the one obtuse angle ground out.

Also its hard to find things that are nice that aren't mall Ninja plastic or military dumb assary. And can be carried concealed in Iowa. We have some interesting knife laws here. Like they are stupid. They aren't really restricting but our Leo do not know laws here they are stupid as hell. A cpl summers ago they were crashing their own cars and losing their weapons so they are not to be trusted. Seriously they "lost" a 12 ga and an ar15. An aquaitance of a friend actually found and returned them. Cops r dumb.

You'll never understand the quest that is finding the right rug. Its fraught with ferrets and angry Germans from boker lol.

Two sides to every story and I think we've seen the other side now. Knife may have been bad but it's obvious you conduct yourself unprofessionally.
