Went hiking (again)

Took the girlfriend and her dog out for about 6 miles today. Same area as last but different trail.

Mostly same old stuff. Cooked some food, played with the dog, built a fire just because, and played around with a poncho shelter.

When I got home I played around with cooking in my canteen cup. Super easy to do...

Great job, especially taking the GF out! I like the way you set up your improvised fire to get the canteen cup boiling...make sure you have some leather gloves or a bandana to remove:eek: Thanks for sharing TFin04:thumbup:

The JK looks great. Gotta be fun checking that dog for ticks!

A bandana works great for removing the cup.

She spent about an hour on the dog after we got home cleaning out burrs and checking for cuts, ticks, etc. He was filthy!

The JK knife is awesome. I already want a bigger one. I'm thinking about wrapping this one in some thin kydex for a low profile set up and getting a 4" Hiker model with black micarta handles as my main blade.
