Went hiking for the first in years

I have decided to get in shape. Aside from going to the gym and working out, I wanted to have some fun so I went hiking for the first time in probably 25 yrs. I had alot of fun today.

I went to a NC park site named Boone's Cave. It's named after Daniel Boone who lived in the area for a time hunting and fishing. The terrain around the cave is very steep but well worth the effort to see it. Also in the park is the largest Cottonwood tree in the state (160ft tall and 16 feet in circumference).

oh yeah FYI all you do is put yur mouse on the pic you want oppions apear below it go the the bottom OP. and right click copy and pasteit here:D:thumbup::cool:

I have some more pics of inside the cave and other things. I will try posting shortly, I'm reading up on how to post pics.

The Cottonwood. Sorry about the pic in this one because the tree is so big and the vegetation so plentiful, if I would have stepped back foot or two limbs would have obscured it.

I am already planning the next one:) I can't believe I waited so long from when I was a kid to now to go hiking again. I am 35 y/o now so I have long time to enjoy it.

welcome to the Forum. For the first hike you sure got a great spot. Cant see you ever stoping hiking with so much green around you.
