Went hunting the other day.

Heres my 30-30 and my Koster nessie.

A picture of my brother's rifle and the view from 9,000 or more feet up.

As you can see I'm almost at the 10,000 foot level.

Nothing like walking over lava rock.

More lava rock.

I sitting higher than the clouds.

This photo is for pit dog, who's always takes photos of plants and Maisy.

then I ran into a friend of mine and the Koster Nessie did a fine job deboning two animals. (My brother ran into a friend too)

Nice pic bro! Did you get an animal too? I really didn't know that the mountains in Hawaii were that high for some reason. How was the hike down? For me it always seems like the hike down is worse! Nice choice on the 30-30 as well. I love my 30-30!

man i luv maui going to move back in a year,hunt there as much as i can my pops an brother live in nahiku outside of hana..

Although the 30-30 isn't my first choice as a hunting weapon, it is my choice for scouting an area due to its weight. My brother was teasing me during the trip because I normally like to take far shots and the 30-30 limited my range to 150 yards.

The goat I shot was about 100 yards away and it was facing me, I hit it on the front right shoulder. The slope of the hill was so steep that we continually slid down as we deboned the animal.

My brother and I had alot of fun during this trip, as we normally hunt deer on another island.

Kalama; Nahiku is a great area for hogs, I hope you have a lot of fun on your return to the island.

We deboned the animal in the field, and I really don't like getting blood on the camera. We both took turns in the deboning process, as my back kills me when I debone .
