Went in feet first and upgraded to a 204!!!

Wayne,
I missed your question about ELU in an earlier post. Sorry about that. Spyderco uses ELU (for End Line User) instead of customer, because they design their knives for the person using them, not just the person buying them. The person buying may not be the person using or may just stick it in a case. This is my own paraphrase of what I remember Sal saying here some time ago. If you want to find Sal's explanation go back to the archives and search for ELU.

I have no idea if any other companies use this term or not, but it comes up quite a bit on this forum. It's really sad, I hate it when people use abbreviations instead of real words, but I do it all the time now. YMMV.

My SharpMaker came in to the local UPS Depot on Friday, but those rats decided to start the long holiday weekend early!

So, I ordered on Sunday and I'm not going to get it until next Tuesday! Darn it. I'm starting to hate that UPS package tracking!
I hung out here on Friday evening, (waiting for those fools) ;-) when I could have been out having some cool ones!

Roger, at Bayou LaFourche has the 204 for $42.49. How does that compare with the prices you others are seeing? Need to get one, if I can only stop buying knives a bit.

Wow! I got my SharpMaker 204 in, and it's amazing!!! It positively blows away my diamond Lansky by a very wide margin. I didn't know that you could get knives this sharp with so little effort!!!

Oh yah. As far as the video goes..... I thought it was great. Sal was dynamite, and the two others kept things from getting monotonous. It was kind of like an infomercial for a product that actually works.

Well done Spyderco. I was impressed by my Military, and am now convinced by my SharpMaker. You guys know exactly what you're doing.

MY 204 is in!
The UPS guys came to work today..(at last)!
My Standard, two SOGs & a batch of kitchen knifes are now dangerous to handle.

The video tape was just fine. We plan to watch it again this week.
(My wife fell asleep during the woodworking tool section).
Those infomerial folks were okay, they did their part with the FAQs..
The details and examples were very good and the manual is top notch.

The stones were a mess after about 3 hours. Followed the directions for soap & water clean-up and the kit looked like new again.
(I do like the dishwasher idea)!

Touching up an edge only takes a about 3 or 4 minutes, including setup & takedown.

Way to Go Spyderco!
