Went kind of Gun crazy today

I'm going to agree with Beef, I wouldn't consider that crazy at all. You can never have too many guns. :D

Good choices, man! I haven't seen that bearcat model. Very cool!

Love the Kahr too. I have a PM9 and some others. Kahr does recommend a break in period of a couple hundred or so rounds. Most of this process is to work the pistol's action so that the parts meld together better and any rough spots are worked out by the action being cycled. A much cheaper way to do this is just to rack the slide several hundred times. You can do it while watching TV, whatever. Some leather gloves help. I wouldn't skip the break-in period, but this gives you a great head start. I do this with all my pistols regardless of brand... it really helps.

Have fun!

That Bearcat Shopkeeper is sweet...man I wish Ruger would cleanup there DA 22lr triggers. All their SA's are top notch. Have fun shootin'

UPDATE!!
Took my new guns out shooting today.Nothing bad to say about the single 10. The bearcat is gonna need some cylinder polishing as the short ejector rod did not want to eject some brands of ammo and I had to use my multitool to get the cases out. Also the little half-moon button they use on the ejector is sharp actually cut my finger gonna have to smooth it out. The Kahr was a little stiff but shot well and actually has less felt recoil than the only slightly smaller S&W Bodyguard .380.I had no failures to feed but I did have a couple of failures to lock back after last round. Also the magazine lips are sharp especially when you are putting that 6th round in. I think with some breaking in and some slipstream lube its gonna be fine.

I went through a little gun crazy earlier this year.In 3 months I bought a Ruger American in 30-06 and put a Trijicon 6x24 x 44 scope on it then a savage model 10 XP hunter in 308 with a Nikon 3x9x40 BDC scope then a Remington 700 in 7mm mag with a leupold VX 2 3x9 scope and then a Benelli Super Nova 12 gauge. Not to mention 3 new handguns in the last year. I have been retired for 28 months and this is what happens when you have too much time on your hands....lol

My P45 had one F-t-F during break-in using a 7 round mag. The first round didn't strip cleanly and I had to work it out of the chamber after I dropped the magazine out. I did have some issues at first with the slide lock spring. The slide lock pin would work its way partly out after firing 6-8 rounds and the slide would jam after extraction. It had to be manually reset. Apparently, that's not unknown with Kahrs because they have a section on their web site devoted to how to handle that. Once I got the replacement spring they sent installed I haven't had that issue again. I've run about 100 rounds through it since then and the issue has not come up again.

It's turned into a sweet shooting little .45. The recoil is much less than I expected in a lightweight .45. The Kahr is very controllable. The biggest issue now is that the checkering on the grips rips my palm up after 30 or 40 rounds. I'm looking for something more comfortable to replace them.

Sounds like it was fun none the less. Probably dumb questions but do you think the cylinder sticking could be attributed to the ammo? I've never checked how tight bearcats are. It is a little harder for me to go gun crazy in Calif as I gotta check for to see if "said" gun is on the safe roster list, blah blah blah.... Thanks for the range report, hope those kinks work out in a couple hundred more rounds.... :)

Of the two brands I had the Winchester's seemed to be more of an issue than the Remington's. The Ruger forums seem to agree that this is an issue but is usually fixed by a little light polishing at the end of the cylinder holes.
