By now you folks are probably getting tired of hiking/outdoors pictures from folks who have gotten out and gone somewhere with trees and green and all that good stuff... Well, I hate to say it, but here's some more!

Went up a local mountain the other day with my brother who is visiting from Ontario. He wanted a hike, so we took a nice walk through the forest. It was a little drizzly, so the pics from the top may not be the best, but it was a good time nonetheless and a bonding experience as well.

A couple kms into the hike we entered this new growth forest with the trees fairly close and very straight

Small area where water collects during the fall

A pond about halfway up

Fungi that were deposited in neat little bundles every couple hundred feet along the trail. I haven't done any research on them. What is it?

Vedder Canal: BCers may know it as how you know you're in Chilliwack if heading from the west

Trying to work on focus with the camera... Thought this one turned out well. The background is Chilliwack, both farm and urban.

Obligatory knife shot: Kershaw SG2 Blur I won in a recent contest

Hope the pictures didn't bore you too much. If they did, well, too late eh? ;)

Hahaha, that was a good one. "I'm getting so sick of these gorgeous pictures of places I'd love to visit..." :D

Seriously, cool pics. Looks like a fun hike. I need to take a weekend off sometime soon and head up to the woods before fall hits. (And then a few more times when fall hits :D)

and glad to see the knife shot in there also...its that little "see im not better then u because i get to see "gorgeous" places that u would rather be...." lol nice hike!

Very nice forest, it looks like there is a lot of cedar there. You definitely get more rain than we do.

What kind of pine is that in the conquered shot?

This isnt really an attempt to hijack the thread , but just to add balance ...

there is a WAY overload of trees ... this is to counter that :)

Not a hike , but a driving / camping trip earlier this year .
