With the shelter built I decided to get down to the fire making with My new kit

first i built a table, out of some wood and a ton of old mans beard, so that i could start my fire off of the ground.

I Really had a lot of fun and saw A lot of tracks, the area i went to is hardly used by people in the winter so it was just me, too bad i didn't see any animals, maybe if i do an overnight there i will have better luck.

More picture below...

Here are some signs of life i found

Some scrapings, and there where alot of tracks, but i forgot to take pics hahaha

Dude you need a haircut. Those side burns are gettin out of hand!!:p

Great pics. Nice hike!!

Great pictures and good practice. That looks like an excellent fire kit

say is that a Brigham pipe?

No sir it is a Medico (if it was the brand you where looking for.) My pockets are a bit light so i had to go with a cheaper pipe, but a good brier none the less.

hahaha yah i was so excited with my kit that i begged the wife to excuse me from the Christmas preparation to run out and have some fun.
