And I didn’t buy even one knife :) I checked out a couple but I’m resolved to not buying anymore right handed folders, that includes ambidextrous opening but right handed liner locks. I know this puts me at a disadvantage and of course SAKs are exempt. Since I bought that BM Grip with that Axis lock I’m ruined.

I did however pick up two revolvers, I was shopping for my wife, she wanted a gun she could call her own so I made a good deal on an older S&W 10-8 but since it was old with holster rash I started thinking she needed something more designed for a woman and bought her a new 637 Airweight with the pink grips. She is ecstatic. She cleaned it up and is ready to head to the range.

Any good knives at that show? Nice slippies? all I ever see are "tactical" knives, Kershaws and Spydercos.

Yeah, there are two guys there that have all the stuff I read about here. I checked out some Chris Reeve knives and bought one at the last show from the same guy, he has BMs, Spyderco, CR, and many of the other brands. It gives me a good opportunity to hold and check out the stuff talked about on this forum before I buy.

Not too many custom makers, maybe one or two and these guys are not even in the same ball park as my knife making buddies. One guy I talked to didn’t even make his own blades, heck I can do that.

I don't know what's going on in Fla.,but pistol ammo is the main attraction at the DFW shows.I saw single boxes of 50 rds .380 selling for $50.00 and more.

The ammo is insane. I saw guys spending thousands and leaving with hand trucks full of ammo. I paid $32.00 for a box of .38 special so my wife has a box to take to the range. I guess I need to spend some time at the reloading bench. Though I never thought I would be reloading for .38 or 9mm.

I was there too, did you see how many .50 caliber guns were on display?
I was disappointed by the knives, though. Most of them were displayed very tight together, with blades touching and all. I am very particular about my knives, especially when I buy them.

Quite a few, the guy I have bought knives from sells new still in the box and only out of the display case if it's his only one. Both Nick and his brother bought a knife from him yesterday, both where new in the box.

I bought a CR and a RAT-3 at the Ft. Lauderdale show, both where new in the box, I think the ones on disply are just so you can handle them. At least in his case.
