Went to the Buck Store today, brought home a friend.

I was wondering if that red would come off there. I think next year I'm going to have to give 5160 a try. Nice buys on all of them!

I completely recommend this thing as a chopper. And the red stays on pretty well, but it is not the strongest coating I have encountered.
 
I have made a decision! I will be stripping this knife, putting a thick patina on it and then stone washing!
 
Show some images when you get it done. I'm either going to get a 104 next year and do the same except the stone washing or I'm just going to go local and get a 119 Special.
 
Patina is on it. I am torn between stonewashing it or not. It is so nice as is. Pics to come.
 
Ferahgo, I would snag one of those blems up if I could... I want one badly. If you got one I would drop 80 in a heartbeat. I'd have to wait two weeks for my next paycheck though. Nice new Buck :cool:

Maybe read the rules and heed the advice given to you by those that have been around a little longer and know a little more.
 
Boy, things seem to be fine in the morning, so you go out and don't check in and they go to pot in the evening.

Remember all, this is a privately owned company. If the owner says don't sell in threads, then no matter what don't sell.
