Went to the race track with my brother this past summer. . . .

Love the mid sixties to very early seventies cars. Lots of different ones. The crazy thing for me is the horsepower of the cars today. I grew up in the eighties and anything over 300 ponies was the shiz. Now, four and six bangers have more than that. The nostalgia of the early muscle cars can't be beat, but the bang for the buck is in the new cars.

Great stuff!

I do miss my Chevelles. . . .

I had a 1970 Maverick for my first car. . . . . . NOT a muscle car, but Cragar SS rims and Goodyear Polyglass raised white lettered 50s fooled a lot of people! :D . . . That was until we got the green light!. . . . They would disappear into the horizon while my killer cool Maverick struggled to get off of the line with all six inline cylinders desperately pumping the under rated 110 horsepower to the rear end. My MAV easily ran mid to high 20s in the 1/4 mile!!!! . . . It ran at the speed of mud!

On a side note. . . . There are too many suspicious HOGs on this thread!

Sometimes a random topic thread is just a random topic thread. . . .:D;)

Let's Drink!

Jerry

I am so confused!!
Is this just a random topic thread for real?? If so, I need pictures of these cars otherwise I have no idea what we are talking about. Girls and cars aren't really hand in hand, however girls and knives are totally hand in hand!
Bring it! :D

Ive seen pleanty of calanders where cars and girls go hand in hand! lol. My first car in HS was a black 69 Chevelle. Would love another muscle car but boats have kinda taken over. More room for bikinis on a boat than in a sports car.

The girls just makes the car look better. I'm willing to bet she doesn't even know how to fill the windshield washer fluid. :D

So why is it that when Jerry said "green light!" I emmediatly felt I needed hurry up and buy some sharpened steel?!?! :D

I had...
1975 AMC Hornet with a 401
1968 Pontiac Firebird with a 327
1986 Ford Mustang GT with a 302
Still wish I had the Hornet. That was a badass little car.

I bet Jerry is working on a B.I.G.MCHR (BIG Muscle Car Hell Razor) . I'll take one!

Still trying to remember Jerry posting a "random topic thread"....

Hmm, does not ring a bell.... ;) ;)

I'm into more modern muscle. my journey went like this:
2006 Dodge Charger... traded towards a 2008 Mustang... traded in towards an import sedan :grumpy: ... missed the v8 RWD so recently traded in towards a 2014 Camaro

I just remembered...(since we're talking cars)

Saturn used to tell you what they had in stock and what the price was. No stress haggling and you knew right away what was available before driving down to look. (but then again, they are out of business..... I still appreciated that str8 up marketing though);):D:thumbup:

No better muscle car that a 1969 mustang fast back. I dont car if its a Mach 1 or standard. Just that cars lines scream muscle. There may have been faster cars and better cars but NOTHING looks as good.

Chevelle's are my favorite as well!!

I would love a 1970 Chevelle with a LS4 package(454, 450hp, 4 speed, 4:11's), blue with white strips!!!

Maybe someday, but until then this is my Chevelle, 1965, 355 with a low profile Weiland blower!!

The 1970 Chevelle with the 450 hp 454 was the LS6. My ex wifes aunt had a LS5 1971 chevelle. Awesome cars.

This Spring she'll be on the road. Finally. I've had this since 1984.
The 390 is long gone and I squeezed a 351C H.O. motor. Nothing is stock on the inside. 4 spd of course.
