We're all knife addicts here but really...

I'm saving a link to this pic for the next time someone says I have too many knives. lol

Sadly, what I showed is just the tip of the iceberg. I have boxes and boxes of fixed blades, traditionals, MTs and SAKs. Dozens and dozens of firearms, and enough ammo to supply the Bolivian Defense Force for 3 years. And probably 100 flashlights, which are my true love - you can't cut or shoot something if you can't see it, right? But the house and cars are totally paid for, college is fully funded for our 2 teenage boys, and we have zero debt. Other than my toys, we live pretty frugally. So its all good.

Hang tough, KB3. You are an inspiration.

...has it gone too far for some of us? Do you:

1.) Worship your knives? Like keep them in a shrine, a special box made of exotic wood? Does the opening of this box invoke sacred hymns?

2.) Play with them like dolls? "Hey Ms. Opinel, would you like come play with Mr. Griptillian?" type stuff. Taken to extremes have you written a screenplay for a stop-motion animated film for your knives?

3.) Have 73 copies of the same model? Just 'cause you can?

I am not exempt. I have a habit of buying two of everything. Not exact copies but along the lines of a stock Buck 110 and an Alaskan guide 110.

When does this become a problem?

When you answer yes to any of the questions above.
There may be more going on than a knife problem though if you answer yes to any of those :p

Knives...naah. Guns.... used to be kind of along your lines, but I know you're exaggerating. BUT, these kinds of judgements may best be made by others who's opinions you respect. What changed for me?... my financial resources became a bit shallower. Hence, it was never really a compulsion, because I adapted to the situation.
