Welcome to Bladeforums.
The dealers listed here are primArily the go to folks for knives:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/entry.php/121-Who-are-the-Bladeforums-Paid-Dealers

Please acquaint yourself with the forum rules found here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/faq.php

The dealer you listed is not a paid BFC dealer, you might want to edit that out to avoid problems. Also, the Feedback forum is where these questions should be placed, General Knife Discussion is the place to primarily discuss the knives themselves and not where to buy. ;)

Hard to state one spot... There's knife shops, there's online knife shops, there's Amazon, there's occasionally Ebay, there's a multitude of dealers and custom makers here. I basically buy from wherever I find the knife I want at a fair price :)

If you list a place that isn't a paid dealer you'll get warned or infracted. Use the paid dealer list, there are a ton of good places to order from online and here on the Exchange section of the forum. Also custom knifemakers sell their knives here so check out those sections too.

I've only used Amazon (kinda the Google News for shopping as they partner with a boatload of retailers) so far, but I can't recall the individual shops the different knives came from.

There are a lot of good online knife sellers, some of which also have physical stores. I tend to buy most of my knives from ebay or our sales forum here, but if you want to look at a full inventory and buy something right away then a real or online store is more useful. After you have been on these forums for awhile you will find lots of references to the online sellers that support bladeforums but you will also see hints to other online sellers that you can find with a little bit of google searching. I have found that prices can vary from one place to another but I have not found any one store that is the cheapest for everything that I might be interested in. Also it is hard to find one store that even has all of the things that I tend to be interested in.

I use to buy mine at AG Russell’s store but after getting screwed over buy his COO Kim I bet I am not welcome in the store any more.

Other then that I just cruse the pawn shops and see what I can find that they do not realize what it is. I got my sons KA-BAR USMC in brand new shape for 25 bucks at a pawn shop.

Most pawn shops know what folders are worth but I am finding out they know nothing about fixed blade knives. I see Schrade Sharpfingers in them for about 10 to 15 bucks which is about right but I have also seen some old Effingham Blackjacks for really cheap and even a really nice Solingen Germany big bowie for cheap but I bet my best deal was my sons USMC for 25 bucks.

I have found this same thing to be true at my local gun and knife shows too.

So far just Amazon where I got my hoodlum-$113. and change and Ebay- BK-9 $50.00 and ESEE ML-3 $118.00. I payed a bit more for the last one but the dealer is a good guy. Blade HQ is great to deal with to. I like them allot.

If a person is patient and keeps an eye out they can find some good deals.

It’s kind of funny. I can start in Fayetteville, Ar on the south side and start hitting pawn shops for knives and then I also pull into Goodwill stores to look for well-made but cheap shirts. I love French cuff shirts and I can find good used ones for $3.50 at Goodwill and thrift shops. So by the time I get back home in Bentonville I can have a good knife or two and 4 or 5 very nice shirts for under 50 bucks. I am happy not many people do it so my selection is better.

Nothing wrong with that at all Bob.
