I realized a long time ago that most of here know WAY more than your average person, even one that likes tinkering in the yard or around the house! With that being said, I still know almost nothing compared to some of the members here

I voted "somewhat" only because I've been using knives since 1961 and collecting since 1975. My traditional knowledge is primarily about traditional fixed blade hunting knives. My slip joint knowledge is limited to mainly 2 brands, Western and Kabar. What I know about Camillus, Imperial, Utica, Primble, GEC, Ulster, Colonial, Boker, Case and all the other "traditional" traditionals would not even fill a thimble.

The bad thing is that I will never be able to learn everything about anything.

The good thing is that I will never run out of stuff to learn. All I have to do is pick another style or another brand.

I know more than 99% of other people,
but among forum members I would be

some what

Absolutely.
'some what' on this poll is still what 90+% of the male population, and 99.997% of the female population would consider to be unnaturally concerned about the topic :D

I voted just starting, because there are some fellows around here that have forgotten more than I'll ever know about traditional knives.

I wanted to choose, "I know it all," but that wasn't one of the options.

(Me, I just stick close to Charlie, and learn stuff....)

I know enough that when a certain pattern is mentioned I get a visual idea of the knife. Now when it comes to model numbers
from different companies ooooheee- not so much. Making them has certainly been the greatest job of any in my life.

Well I know what I like and what I use, so that's what I know, and for me it has to be 4" or longer.
