One of my friends helped his mom move off of the family farm after 60 years, he hired a small local moving company to do the furniture and appliances and the family moved the boxes and breakables. It wasn't very expensive and really lightened the load on everyone. Or you could do what my grandfather recomended, don't take anything but your hat, and throw it out when you get there. Good luck and take care not to overdo.
 
Good advice. Yangdu is a pack rat and that's the problem. Otherwise, I'd throw everything away except the khukuris and my Heineken glass.
