Just looked like big southern thunder storms until that second and third pic in post #14 - at which time I said "holy sh!t"... those were some scary looking clouds brother. I would certainly have been hiding in the basement at that point.
I might've been in the basement if we had one. Our house is pretty small. Only one room has no exterior walls in it, the master bath, and that's the best we can do if we need a safe place. If I had seen a single shingle blow off a nearby roof, or any other evidence of imminent danger besides just the sound of the wind, we could've been closed in that bathroom in less than 15 seconds or so from where I was standing in either the front or the back when I was taking those pics. It was bad, but there wasn't a single tree blown down right here in this neighborhood. There was lots of damage within a half mile or so, but none here.
Thanks for the concern, but I'm neither particularly brave or stupid. I would've sought better shelter if I needed to.
