You may have noticed some additional messages from cloudflare and the like - we're getting attacked and I'm in the middle of working on it. Thanks for your patience and support.
 
Thank you Spark, I knew something was up today. The forum has been acting funny all morning.

A ton of trolls lately too, much more than usual so it could all be related.
 
Thanks for letting us know. I knew something was going on this morning and wondered if there was a DOS attack or something taking place. Hope someone can backtrack and nail them down.
 
I bet it's those Chinese cloners. They're tired of all the bad-mouthing that happens around here :D
 
Well ....attacking a knife and firearm forum is probably the worst idea ever, hope you track them down and give'em hell!

I'm not very tech savvy. Do these attackers actually gain something from this or are they just being pricks for the sake of it?
 
Well some will approach the site owner and offer to shut the attack down for a payment.

Others will use it as a method of compromising site security for a second attack (hoping the site turns off some security measures to mitigate the current attack).

Given the typical user on this site it's most likely trolls "doing it for the the lulz".
