Thanks for the invite, mate. I no longer live in West "By God" Virginia but it's my birthplace and still home to me in my heart. I'm originally from Fairmont...my Grand Pappy was a coal miner and he was the quintessential West Virginian. Both he and my Grandmother were very strong influences in my life. Their Mountaineer spirit lives on in my Father, Uncle and myself... we're the last of the Natives in our family. We try to return every now and again just to visit the old stomping grounds. There's just no other place like W.V. on earth.
Here's a link to a motorcycle forum I enjoy of a thread I posted there a year ago with pictures of our last visit to the Mountaineer State. http://www.vtxcafe.com/showthread.php?t=3198
Those are some incredibly gorgeous pics LoneWolf! I don't ride, but I have paddled a lot of the areas you showed.
It's good to hear from an ex-patriate. I'm a transplanted Buckeye, myself, but I fell in love with this state on my first visit. Luckily, I eventually fell in love with my native-born Mountaineer wife and moved here.
