Hi Guys,

I have a thread going on Austalian Blade forums about a hammer in in my shop. Just seeing if there is any more interest over here.

Bruce Barnett ABS JS has volounteered his time and I want to make sure we get enough guys/gals to make it all worthwhile. This is a bit of a plan for the day:

1000: Rock up and have a coffee, while warming up the forge
1030: Get started. Let Bruce have a bash (So to speak)
1230ish: Have some Lunch
130ish: Let Bruce finish off anything that he needs to maybe heat treat?

When were are finished your welcome to bring some cutlery for a mini show (or show and tell) and a few beers afterwards.

If we get the required ammount of people Danica and I will cater the event. I will ask that everyone chips in $10. We will get a couple of roasts, Lamb and beef, some fresh bread rolls and gravy with a bit of salad. So thats lunch taken care off.

So come along. It looks like being a great day. I am really looking foward to seeing Bruce at work.

Hey mate, nice try. For what your knives are selling for these days you only need to make 1 for each ticket...im sure Patti would agree that wouldnt take ya too long!!!!!!
Once the new ranch gets set up in Bridgetown, we will have to do something though:cool: Sign on the dotted line at the bank tmorra:eek:

Been real busy mate, workin, buying a block down south , tryin to make knives....will ring ya Sat or Sun;)
 
Well we had a great day.

Some forging was done, as well as heat treating. Beers were enjoyed. Had a great day all round!

Big thanks to everyone that came today. It was great. Special thanks to Bruce for the demonstration! It was great to put faces to names today!

Bruce ran us through forging a nice drop point hunter, heat treating and also some grinding methods.
