Western Bird and trout folder

I just bought a western bird hook, folder, from Ebay. the knife is un finished. the blade has not been sharpened the bolsters are un polished and show the pins, the handle has rough edges. my question is..should I clean it up or leave it?

What are you planning to do with the knife? Do you ever plan to sell it. Depending on how much you paid for it I would finish it and make it your own. I dont know if your a collector or not, but I buy knives with 1 of 2 intentions... Keeping it for my collection, ( hopefully forever) or buying it to make a little cash. Its your knife so you have to do what ever would make YOU happy. keeping it around as an unfinished example or making a MASHDUCK- CUSTOM. Whatever you choose good luck and let us see it (before and after) if ya do it. - Joel
