I am interested in getting a large classic styled bowie knife. I have looked at the Western 49's and the Case bowies but cannot decide on which one would be best. Am looking for one that is very durable and will last a lifetime.
I like the W49s,the early ones are made from carbon steel. You might be able to trade for one or I have seen them on Ebay. Left alone they are a great knife value. On the other hand if you want a good fighter than you can do a Bill Bagwell makeover (Bagwellize it) which really fine tunes it.
The Case bowie looks good but the grip is to small for me.
