I've had this piece for 6 or so months now.. and or some reason it never came to me to ask about it....

I have a combat type knife marked

WESTERN
U.S.A 211
I
It appears to be of high quality ( Much better than I usually expect from Western) with crisp grinds and VERY sharp stamped letters. Handles are a black plastic helt together with hex screws. The blade is about 6.5 inches long and is blued carbon steel. Does anyone know anything about this knife, ie: when it was made, who owned western at the time...etc. I like this knife a lot, its only problem is them damned sawteeth things on teh back... they are worse than most... dig into anything they touch... sheath, hand, rag...etc

Yoda,
You've stumped me on this one, but Monday, I'll get right on it. Western has had such a long history with many didfferent owners, it gets kinda 'complicated' at times. But that does keep it interesting doesn't it?!

I'll get something the first of next week.....thanks for being a customer.
