I wanted to share this knife with you guys. All I know about it is, it was my Father's first knife, bought it at Walmart, and he got it in the mid 1970's.

Your father seems to have taken great care of that knife. The sheath could use some neatsfoot oil or something like that, in your place I'd make a new sheath (don't throw the old one away!) and put that knife right on your belt, where it belongs.
If you do use neatsfoot oil do NOT use compound it will eat the stitching. Use straight neatsfoot. I use minerial oil on almost all my leather work. The only thing you might need to know about minerial oil is that it WILL darken the leather.
