Western NC mountain snow event

2 years ago when Atlanta had snowmaggedon or whatever

the grocery store by my house was almost completely sold out of beer on the first day
 
RLo put a snow plow on Max and put him to work. I'm sure he could use the exercise.
Good weekend to do leather for sure. Man that wind is hooting!
Guess me an Rex are headed out in a bit to keep Zappa's song relative.
 
4" or so here is SC... This is a major snow storm for this area. Only the 2nd time we have received this much snow in 21 years. Should taper off this morning with little additional accumulations

I've only got my Junior Metrologist Merit Badge, but that looks like a little more than 10 inches. We're headed for an icy night... Wind was howling last night, but we never lost power.

Perfect excuse to stoke the fireplace, watch some football...and sharpen all your knives. If you run out of work, you can move to cleaning guns.
 
Tiny Dog, I was living in Walterboro, SC back in winter of 72/73. We got 14" in the deep Low Country swamps. Most of the natives thought it was an attack of the albino brain chiggers. Went through 20+ tanks of gas ferrying stranded motorist on 17 back to the Natl. Guard Amory. Loved that little ol' Bronco!
 
Well we ended up with what they say is just shy of 27" here in NYC. But in my neck of the city, which they always forget about it looks much closer to 3ft.

According to the weather service we had 14" as of yesterday morning and another 7-10" to go.

Snow stopped some time last night. Here's my unofficial measurement this morning.

We got the weakest dusting ever. I felt bad for the kids. Lol. Stay warm guys.
 
So I got suck at the old ladies house for the storm an if anyone knows about Bull Dogs they know how dang bull headed they are. We got 28 inches here on the outskirts out Baltimore County. I had to dig my truck out then the ladies car an then we had to go dig her dads car out. It was a all day thing so we get back and I start to make dinner right when I thought I was done digging out my dang spoiled/princess of a dog wasn't happy with the area I cleared for to go to the bathroom. She started to wine and pout because she needed more room to run before she went #2. Dang Bull Dogs
