Western NY gathering offical date post

in Silver lake there are LM Bass, SM Bass, perch, crappies, blue gills, Northern Pike. The lake is less then a mile from we will be, there are also 2 ponds on the land where we will be I know there is fish in them just not sure what. I will have to get never to sharp to comment on that. Doug
 
Just checked NRA website to see if my Pa. CC permit would be good in NY. NOT ! bummer. Guess Ill have to leave my handgun at home ( Yeah Right ! )
 
Yup she had thew surgery the 1st she is still in ICU at least for last night, but doing well. . I am heading up there very soon. Nope the permit is not good here they are kind of a pain about that. Thanks Doug
 
Ok everyone 3 weeks left to go till our first WNY gathering. I will have to get the physical address of the house right next door to the land we will be using, so we can map quest it. With any luck never too sharp will post the address for us and it will be easy. The official dates are the 15th and 16th of August and it is coming fast. I will be posting more every couple of days with updates ect. If you come down Friday night there is a stock car track less then 1/2 mile from the land we will be on, Saturday nights offer drag racing within 15 minutes, our County fair will be in full swing and about 15 - 20 minutes away, There is Letchworth park only minutes away with tons of trails and outdoors activities, Silver lake is just about 2 minutes away with all kinds of fishing, There are 2 ponds on the land with fish, there should be enough for everyone even your kids. Don't forget this is open to all. I am hoping to learn some bush crafting skills from others there and have a great time. Here is a photo of the land we will be on. I hope to see many of you there. ok Here is the address to use for map quest it is the house right next to the land we will be on. It is 6325 Oatka Rd Perry NY 14530. When I did mapquest and tried to save it, it only gave me one little segment. I will try another place to get the map. Doug

Sorry for dropping the ball on that one doug. :o Google Earth has the driveway at 42d 43'00.84"N x 78d 03'49.82"W . A good time will be had by all. :)
 
I just spoke to Ethan Becker he was going to try to make it to our gathering but other obligations will keep him from coming this year. He did tell me that with any luck Paul from Ka-bar will be coming at least part of a day. Keep your fingers crossed. I would really like to meet Paul. Doug

I am firming up my August Schedule and am free on Saturday the 15th. I can be there 5-6 hours.

I talked to our V.P. sales and am bringing a good supply of various Beckers and KA-BARs that I can sell at a very, very good price. (Cash and 1st party checks with I.D. only)

I also give sharpening seminars if it is wanted. Otherwise, I would just like to glad hand and meet people and increase my wilderness bag of tricks.

Castile/Perry is not too far from my home (Cuba). Looking forward to see everyone.
