hi,ive got a stockman like this and the j is the dating system,indicating a 1987 knife but i cant for sure say if it was a western made or a camillus western made,offhand without ,although i think it was a western made before they cllosed, thanks

That was made by Western in Colorado, not Camillus.

 

[CAMCO]

The original Western Cutlery date stamped their knives from 1977 and later. Camillus did not date stamp the Western knives that were made at the Camillus factory after 1991.
