Anyone have any info on the WW49 with the straight guard? I have saw several of these, but never any info.

WW49 was used after Western was bought by Camillus. While it was on its own and after it was part of Colman, W49 was what was used for the Bowie knife. I have never seen a straight guard except ones that were modified by their owners.

Mine is from a Texas gun collectors club with their anniversary date of 1950-1996. I'll have to assume it came this way at least in 1996.

This is the one I asked about. I have saw several, but never any info.

Camillus made the large Bowie knife with a cast straight guard for Smoky Mountain Knife Works.
